Fruit Banner – Summer Party Decoration

This easy fruit banner is the perfect decoration for any summer party. Whether it is a bbq, pool party or any other occasion this is a quick and easy craft to create using the free printable templates. 

It is easy to create the different fruits for the banner using some coloured card, paper and free printable templates.  With multicoloured citrus fruit, pineapples, strawberries and watermelon, this fun fruit banner is sure to brighten up any event.

You Will Need

  •  Coloured card and paper
  • Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Glue Dots
  • Printed Template
  • Brown and Black Markers (for pineapples and watermelons)
  • Yellow Pen (for strawberries)

HOW TO - Fruit Banner

Step 1

Print Out Fruit Banner Template

Print the free template above, onto paper or card.

Cut these out so they can be used to draw around.

Step 2

Drawing Around Templates and Assembling Fruit

Citrus Fruit

Cut the larger circle in either orange, yellow, green or red card.

Next cut the smaller circle from white paper.

Cut 8 segments in orange, yellow, green or red paper.

Pineapple

Cut the large oval from some yellow card.

Add brown lines with a marker as shown on templates.

Draw around and cut out leaves from the green card the glue to the top of the yellow piece.

Strawberry 

Cut the large section from red card and the small from green. 

After sticking together add the seeds. Using a yellow paint marker or gel pen add small dots all over the strawberry.

Watermelon

First, cut the largest triangle section from green card.

Cut the medium section from white paper, and glue it onto the green section. 

Lastly, cut the smallest section from red paper or card. Add the seeds onto this with a black marker, before glueing it onto the other pieces.

Step 3

Putting Together Your Fruit Party Banner

To attach the fruit to the ribbon, I used Bostik extra strong sticky dots for a quick and mess-free solution.
